We welcome prospective parents and their children into school for small group tours from September through to January, these usually take place on Tuesday afternoons or Friday mornings.

For the 2017-18 school year, first entry to the reception year at infant, first, and primary schools is for children born between 1 September 2012 and 31 August 2013. 
 

Deadline for applications is 11.59pm on 15 January 2017. You can apply online – visit www.n-somerset.gov.uk/admissions

Starting school timetable for the 2017–18 school year.

By 12 September 2016
The composite prospectus (parent guide) and application form will be available and parents will be able to apply for a reception or junior school place.

By 11.59pm on 15 January 2017
 Last date for applications to be submitted to your home council so they can be considered in the first round of allocations.

17 April 2017 - National offer day
Offers of a school place will be sent out on this date to on-time applicants. If you applied online you will receive an email and also be able to log back into the online system. If you requested a letter rather than an email, or completed a paper application these will be posted second class on 18 April 2017 (17 April 2017 is a bank holiday).
 
By 1 May 2017
Parents will need to accept or refuse the offer of a school place. They will also be able to change preferences, go on waiting lists or appeal for a place.

19 May 2017
Closing date for the second round of allocations which includes
· all late applications
· on time applicants still seeking a place at one of their preferred schools
· on time applicants who decide to change their preferences of schools
· any places declined by parents from the first round of allocations

Week commencing 5 June 2017
Second round of allocations to be made. Additional rounds of allocations will be made as appropriate.

From June to August 2017
Any parent who applied on time and has decided to appeal for a place, should have an appeal hearing during this period. Appeal hearings for late applicants may be held during the summer holidays and into September depending on the numbers of appeals.
