All Saints Awarded Sainsburys School Games Silver Award - Thu 18 Sep 2014

We are delighted to have been awarded the Sainsburys School Games Silver Mark.

Congratulations to Mrs Crutchley for all the hard work involved in having all our fantastic sporting efforts, opportunities and achievements recognised in this way.

Further information about the award below:

School sport has come a long way over the last 15 years. As well as a comprehensive range of traditional sports, a host of new and exciting sports are being included in the competitive programmes being developed by schools.

Inspired by the future decade of sport across the UK, National Governing Bodies of Sport, health organisations and County Sports Partnerships are working more closely than ever to involve as many young people in sport and physical activity as possible. Never before have there been so many reasons or opportunities to be involved in school sport!

In order to provide more competitive sporting opportunities, a key focus is to give more young people responsibility for the sports that are run and in the officiating and organisation of the programme offered. Whether it is as a performer or player, a reporter or a referee, the Sainsbury's School Games provide an excellent opportunity for all young people to take on a role and make a positive and active contribution to their school. Whether as an athlete, leader, official or coach the Sainsbury's School Games hopes to engage everyone - whether they see themselves as 'sporty' or not.
